ABOUT US We are Jim and Judy Hendricks. Jim works for the United States Army as a civilian Special Projects Officer for the Chemical Materials Agency. Judy is currently working full time at our alpaca adventure. Jim & Judy have been together for about 15 years, both having been previously married. They are proud parents of 6 children and grandparents to 8 grandchildren. We love alpacas, having been introduced to them in 1996, while living in New Mexico. While there, we visited numerous farms in New Mexico and Colorado, most notably Enchantment Farms, in Ruidoso, NM. Rick and Ann Evans spent the better part of a whole day discussing all aspects of the raising, care, feeding and enjoyment aspects of alpacas. In May 2004, Rick and Ann sold the then highest selling huycaya alpaca, Dom Lucilio, for $400,000 at the Spring Fling Auction. We have two female 2005 cria sired by Dom Lucilio, Dom's Desiree and Maggie's Miracle. Maggie is pregnant to Dom Lucilio for an early summer cria and Madam Du Berrie was confirmed pregnant by ultrasound on February 5, 2007.
Our vision is to raise a herd of excellent alpacas over the next several years. Then, we plan to use the herd to supplement our retirement income for many years (Lord willing.) We have two large guard dogs. Our little farm is in Stewartstown, southern York County, Pennsylvania, about one mile North of the Mason Dixon Line. We are quite close to several Maryland farms. We are proud members of the following organizations:
